Kung Fu Advancement, Congrats!
Our spring show was held at the Duncan Hall, First Presbyterian Church on June 6th. This was a busy day for a lot of our Kung Fu Family members. Special thanks to Peter Parish for being our MC despite his rather full weekend schedule.
Thank you to all of the people who have made time for the show that day. We greatly appreciate your time, energy and support!
Order according to ranking: Congratulations to Burak Yildiz for earning his Red Sash. Burak started Kung Fu training with Sifu when he’s 9. He just turned 15 this year. After 6 years of consistent training, Burak has made awesome progress and his Kung Fu is looking strong! Below image on the right shows Burak was a lot smaller when he proudly received his well earned Gold Sash!
Congratulations to Cordelia Parish and Almadin Harootunian-Cox for earning their Blue Sash.
Both Cordelia and Almadin showed beautiful stances, athleticism, high kicks, stamina and determination. We are very proud of Cordelia and Almadin. They have achieved a challenging goal!
Almadin and Cordelia also did a beautiful performance of the Immortal Sword Form at the show.
Cordelia and Almadin, you girls rock!
Congratulations to Reggie Hunter for earning his green sash. Reggie has been making rapid and steady progress since he started Kung Fu with Sifu Jensen June 2014. Last but not least, congratulations to Owen McGhie. Owen made awesome progress on his Tan Tui during the Spring session. He gave an energetic performance of Tan Tui and was awarded his first earned sash, the sparkling silver sash. Great job, Owen.
A special mention to Owen’s younger sister, Miela McGhie. Although Miela was not ready to perform at the show, she made good progress after the show in class. And she, too, also earned her sparkling silver sash. Congratulations to Miela McGhie.
Thank you all for working hard on your training! We are proud of everyone’s progress. We’ll see everyone in the next show!
