Kung Fu Fitness Training is Ancient Wisdom

If you have ever watched a Kung Fu movie, you will know Kung Fu people are outstanding athletes. Kung Fu develops the flexibility of Yoga, the core strength of Pilates and the coordination and balance of Gymnastics. The northern style we teach is considered to be one of the most athletic and dynamic Kung Fu styles. To prepare you for the advanced maneuvers of Kung Fu, you will receive comprehensive head to toe training developing every part of the body.

These methods are not new or experimental. They are ancient and have been proven to work. Your body will develop “synergistic functional whole body power”. Because Kung Fu engages every part of your body, you will build strength and increase your overall flexibility. This workout is balanced and you will feel great and energized after class.

Increase Flexibility


Loosening

Class begins with a thorough loosening of the whole body. Loosening occurs when you use gentle movements to twist and open all of your joints including your entire spine.


Deep Kung Fu Stretching

This sequence is designed to develop a high level of flexibility. This will prepare you for high kicks, dynamic leaps and low sweeps.


Build Strength


 

Kung Fu Upper Body Strength Development

Kung Fu develops functional strength designed to generate power in your striking and throwing techniques. With the powerful physique you develop doing these exercises, you will definitely be able to protect yourself.


Kung Fu Core Body Strength Development

Kung Fu develops the core power of your body. This includes everything from your chest down to your hips.


Kung Fu Leg Strength Development

You will build awesome leg strength by using the classic stances of Kung Fu. Kung Fu Fitness is a Balanced Workout Builds Strength and Flexibility


Endurance and Skills Development


Kung Fu Kicking

Kung Fu Kicking can be divided into three main levels. You will learn all of these as you progress.


Kung Fu Leaping

These Drills will develop your leaping skill and ability. They will also strengthen your lower legs and abdomen and build your endurance. This is your calorie burning, cardio workout!


Kung Fu Footwork

Footwork drills teach you how to step to different directions with speed and balance. These build both your agility and your endurance.


Kung Fu Animal Power™

This special section of class teaches you lessons drawn from the Kung Fu Animals. These include special conditioning exercises, deadly fighting techniques and leadership lessons.


One Minute Meditation

The one minute meditation calms your mind developing grounding and centering to store your Qi or vital energy.
