2018 Year of the Dog Triple Celebration Kung Fu, Tai Chi Show
Sunday, February 11th, 4:00-9:00pm, Duncan Hall, San Anselmo
We are combining three Celebrations into one party! We’ll be celebrating the 2018 Year of the Dog with Free Dog Boxing class and special show for the kids. We’ll be celebrating the amazing Rachel Jensen’s Birthday. And we will have a World Premiere of our Documentary Short Film on Tai Chi Chuan.
There will be great food, entertainment and company!
The event is open to the public, please bring your friends and family. Free admittance. Potluck. Volunteers are needed.
Birthday Celebration Dinner
Dinner will be potluck style, share a favorite dish or beverage! Please RSVP with the dish you plan to bring. We will honor Rachel’s birthday and have cake!
Free Dog Boxing Animal Power Class and kids show
In celebration of the Lunar Year of the Dog, we are happy to invite all children to a free Dog Boxing lesson. During the lesson students learn fun ground defensive moves. We will have floor mats in place for the exciting rolling and dodging moves. Dog Boxing is suitable for kids 5 years and older. We also invite all Animal Power students to arrive in uniform and participate in a short demonstration.
Exciting performances by Kung Fu students
See dynamic demonstrations of famous Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and Xing Xi,Quan forms. Performed by kids and adults.
Screening of Tai Chi Documentary, Demonstration by Sifu Jensen
Come be one of the first to see the world premier screening of Tai Chi documentary followed by Tai chi performances by Sifu Scott Jensen.
Music Performances:
After dinner and other entertainments the stage will be opened for musical performances and jam session. You are invited to bring an instrument and rock out!
Event Volunteers
If you are able to volunteer, please arrive at 3:00pm Volunteers will help with simple tasks such as room decoration, kitchen prep, table setting, setting up sound system and placing chairs. Kids are welcome if they are helpful. We are also looking for an M.C. To announce the performers, food manager to co-ordinate the potluck and a camera person to film the event.

5:30 First Screening of Tai Chi Documentary, and Tai Chi Performance by International Gold Medalist Scott Jensen
6:00 Exciting Kung Fu by our best Adult Northern Shaolin and Xing Yi Quan Performers
7:00 Second Screening of our Tai Chi Documentary and Tai Chi Performance by International Gold Medalist Scott Jensen
7:30 Jam Session, Dancing, Hang Out and Party – Bring your Instruments!
