Drawing inspiration from the legendary Monkey King fable, this dynamic stretching exercise targets the entire front body from fingertips to toes. Known as “Monkey Lifts the Cauldron,” it mimics the mythical moment when the Monkey King drank from the cauldron of the five elements, becoming invulnerable.

“Monkey Lifts the Cauldron” exercise is a full-body stretch works wonders for opening up all the Yang meridians in the front of the body, from the tip of your large toes all the way to the tips of all your fingers.

It stretches and opens the front of the body including the chest, ribs, and abdominal muscles. The stretch progresses deeper into the body, open up the Psoas muscles and hip muscles.
